Magnesium Oxide and Hydroxide are also used for the production of several magnesium salts. One of these is the Magnesium-Stearate as an additive for the pharma and food industry. It is often used as a filling agent in the manufacture of medical tablets and capsules and to bind the sugar in hard candies. It is also a common ingredient in baby powders.
