Magnesium oxide and Magnesium hydroxide

Both Magnesium Oxide and Magnesium hydroxide are used for the treatment of waste water. Both are non-hazardous, environmentally friendly products. They are used for acid neutralisation, metal removal and pH control. The Magnesium hydroxide liquid suspension is also used for the Phosphate removal and Struvite formation (Phosphate and Ammonia). Magnesium Hydroxide suspension has the advantage to buffer at pH level 9 – 9,5 thus over dosing in aerobic wastewater systems will be prevented.
