Magnesium oxide

Magnesium deficiency in cattle can lead to grass tetany. It is a common disease of grazing animals, especially lactating dairy cattle. The risk of magnesium deficiency is particularly present in spring and autumn. It is a primary cause of adult cattle death. As magnesium is not readily stored in the body, a reliable and available daily source of magnesium is therefore essential for ruminant animals. Magnesium Oxide is the source most widely used in the feed industry due to its high concentration of Magnesium. Supplementing the feed with a mineral mixture containing our readily available magnesium oxide provides the best protection against grass tetany.
