Black Silicon Carbide is a synthetic material with a high degree of hardness (9 Mohs), prescribed for grinding operations. This material is suitable for free grinding, final products bonded by vitrified, magnesite or Bakelite bonds. These tools and free grains of SiC are suitable for industries such as the stonework industry, stone building and statue building, building and in fields of production like ceramic and glass.  

In the building industry SiC is also used for non slippery floors and special building materials. Due to its chemical parameters it is also used in the production of refractory products.
